    I applied through other source. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Advanced RPO (Chicago, IL) in November 2019.


    READ CAREFULLY: The process was smooth and efficient. An initial call with the marketing director who seemed pleasant, which was followed up with a video conference in collaboration with the Director, President, and Sales Director. All of them were friendly. However, quite surprisingly, they decided to rescind my offer because they determined I violated their code of conduct because I did not advise them about a part-time job I was working for additional income. Working in the Talent Acquisition market for over ten years, I understand what "conflict of interests" are and the practices of "moonlighting" and would never violate any agreements. The marketing role would be a full-time position in the recruitment industry that I definitely would have been an asset to. The part-time role was in the logistics industry and a customer service role at that. Think about it, if you have another job in the same field your employer might be concerned that you are sharing trade secrets with a competitor or competing with the employer for business. For example, if you work for a recruitment company during the day and run your own side business providing recruitment services, your employer might think that you’re taking customers away from the company—and using your job with the company to build a client list. But that wasn't the case in any way since they are not in competition directly or indirectly. One had nothing to do with the other so I am still perplexed why I had to notify them of this unrelated job that I had taken a month previously. If they had an issue with it, a simple conversation asking me about it would have also identified that I had provided notice the same day an offer from Advanced RPO was made. I was so excited about the offer, that I uncharacteristically provided only a three-day notice to the logistics company because I was ready to start right away. Either way, this was definitely a head-scratcher and I hope future candidates consider this prior to accepting a role with Advanced Group. I would not want them to have a similar experience.
