Description Global Kids, Inc. (GK) is the premier nonprofit educational organization for global learning and youth development that works to ensure that youth from underserved areas have the knowledge, skills, experiences and values they need to succeed in school, participate effectively in the democratic process, and achieve leadership in their communities and in the world.
Global Kids reaches over 3,000 students, "GK Leaders," each week in New York City and Washington, DC through its in-school and after school global education, social action, digital media, and service-learning programs.
GK works in middle schools, high schools, community schools and has school year programming for high school students at our New York City and Washington, DC offices.
Founded in 1989, Global Kids seeks to address the lack of global education and leadership opportunities for youth from neighborhoods whose racial and ethnic groups are largely underrepresented academically, politically and professionally.
