David Kopp, CEO

David leads the Healthline Media team. His 25­ year career spans publishing, digital advertising, consumer services, and client­side marketing for both big brands (Disney and Yahoo!) as well as more entrepreneurial ventures. David believes that people need better tools, education, and support in order to achieve good health, and he’s confident that Healthline’s purpose-­driven team will make the world stronger and healthier. He also talks a lot about sugar: if you want to live a long, healthy life, minimize your sugar intake.

Tracy Rosecrans, SVP Product & Marketing

Tracy leads consumer marketing and manages a team that oversees SEO, SEM, SMM, email marketing, and first party initiatives. Prior to Healthline, Tracy owned a digital marketing company and served in the Peace Corps. Outside of Healthline, Tracy loves reading the New Yorker, hiking, exploring Oakland, and traveling. She’s traveled to over 30 different countries and lived overseas for 3+ years.

Tracy leads the content strategy and oversees a brilliant team of editors, writers, medical experts, and producers with one goal in mind: to create awesome content that helps people get healthier. Prior to Healthline, Tracy led the BBC Gardening website in London for three years where she mastered (proper) English and indulged in her love of British gardens. Tracy can often be found hiking her local trails or enjoying a homemade smoothie with her husband and girls in the garden.

    Pros

    Always evolving, which keeps the work fresh, interesting, and challenging.

    Great group of people to work with, from top to bottom. People genuinely believe in the mission and care about what they do.

    There's a sense that we're building something important together, which is exciting and rewarding.

    Supportive managers who really care about employees.

    Cons

    I could see the flux that comes with growth being frustrating if you're looking for a super predictable 9-5. That said, if you're the kind of person who values learning new things, taking on new challenges, and personal growth, it's a great environment.

    Application

    I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Healthline Media.

    Interview

    Pretty standard interview process. First you had a phone call to discuss the position, and then they moved you on to the in person interview. The interview lasted 2 hours, and I met with a good number of people. Everyone seemed pretty nice and seemed like they enjoyed working for the company. They told me they would be in touch within the next week for next steps, and even after I followed up, I heard nothing. This really left a bad taste in my mouth. If I didn't get the job, fine, but just some sort of email to let me know that I didn't get the job, or they're still interviewing would've been kind and courteous. It just is very frustrating to spend 2 hours of your time with these people, and they can't even reply to a simple follow up email or let you know.
