Mission: To be your most trusted ally in your pursuit of health and well-being!
As a growing company, we know how important it is to support our people, including those who are raising or starting families. Healthline was proud to host a panel discussion on the "taboo topics in business" series in our SF office today. The conversation was a forward-thinking, open and transparent exploration of the issues facing working parents (and expectant parents) and the organizations in which they work - and what companies can do to continue to make the workplace supportive to ALL employees. Thank you to Portola Advisors and Money & Mimosas, along with the panelists from Visa, McKinsey, TravelBank, Fox Rothschild and Lucy for making this great conversation happen!
Our SF Happy Hour Committee comes up with fun themes and activities for each week’s event! We held a DIY happy hour where Healthliners had the opportunity to get creative by making their own terrariums. We also had one of our very own guest chefs make delicious vegan tacos for everyone to snack on to help the creativity flow!
How you feel affects every precious day of your life. Healthline understands that, which is why we’re committed to being your most trusted ally in your pursuit of health and well-being.
You can depend on us to provide expert content along with genuine caring. Both of which will support, guide, and inspire you toward the best possible health outcomes for you and your family.
Bottom line: We’re human, just like you. We know that peace of mind can make all the difference in how you feel. So we’ll be here when you need us.
David Kopp, CEO
David leads the Healthline Media team. His 25 year career spans publishing, digital advertising, consumer services, and clientside marketing for both big brands (Disney and Yahoo!) as well as more entrepreneurial ventures. David believes that people need better tools, education, and support in order to achieve good health, and he’s confident that Healthline’s purpose-driven team will make the world stronger and healthier. He also talks a lot about sugar: if you want to live a long, healthy life, minimize your sugar intake.

Tracy leads the content strategy and oversees a brilliant team of editors, writers, medical experts, and producers with one goal in mind: to create awesome content that helps people get healthier. Tracy can often be found hiking her local trails or enjoying a homemade smoothie with her husband and girls in the garden.
I worked at Healthline Media full-time (More than 5 years)
Overall, a great place to work.
-The work-life balance and general flexibility are hard to beat
-The people, for the most part, are smart, passionate, hard-working, goal-oriented and fun
-The business is run with data-driven decision-making
-Healthline is enjoying ongoing exponential growth
Healthline tries really hard to create a positive work culture and I think it works. In addition to the perks like meals, snacks, yoga, happy hour, etc., I was always treated with respect and I was honestly happy to go to work (most of the time!).
As Healthline grows and tries to diversify its business, it's had difficulty finding alignment among the various business units. There were times that internal teams had competing goals or conflicting agendas, and given how passionate people are about making their individual or functional goals, at times it caused conflict or issues.
Advice to Management
Dedicate resources and time to figuring out how to be a bigger company with alignment across the business.
I applied online. I interviewed at Healthline Media (San Francisco, CA) in May 2017.
I applied via the website and also contacted the recruiter via e-mail. I heard back from them fairly quickly, about 3 days, and then had a phone interview that same week. After that I was given an edit test and followed up with fairly quickly. The next week I went in for a 2-hour in-person interview.
