Women In Need (WIN) - NYC
Katz employees volunteer their time with the Women in Need (WIN) organization, http://winnyc.org/ at the WIN East River Family Site in East Harlem, NYC.
Children ages 6 to 11 had the opportunity to participate in three back to school arts and crafts activities. These activities included designing fall-themed bookmarks, creating their own apple using tissue paper, and a fall leaves project. In addition, volunteers assisted in the donation room where they sorted and organized items for WIN families to receive.
Overall, the event was a huge success for both employees and children!
New York Cares Day
On Saturday, October 22, 2016, a group of Katz Media Group employees volunteered with New York Cares Day for Schools at PS 138 in Brooklyn, NY. Tasks included painting murals in the school hallways, removing books from the library bookshelves to touch-up existing paint, and organizing stock rooms.
On Cares Day, nearly 4,000 volunteers worked in 69 schools throughout New York City and applied 4,000 gallons of paint, planted 12,000 bulbs, created 400 murals, and demonstrated that an entire city is committed to its students. Katz is honored that it could contribute to the event's success and be part of the solution.
Food Back For New York City and The Bowery Mission
November is recognized as a month of Thanksgiving in the U.S. With gratitude, this past week, Katz employees volunteered at two food banks. The first event took place at Food Bank NYC on Monday, November 14 in Harlem and the second event took place at The Bowery Mission on Tuesday, November 15 in the Lower East Side. Employees assisted the chefs with food prepping, organizing the pantries, and serving meals to over 250 people, respectively.
Food Bank For New York City has been the city's major hunger-relief organization working to end hunger throughout the five boroughs for more than 30 years. Nearly one in five New Yorkers relies on Food Bank for food and other resources. The Bowery Mission has served homeless, hungry and poor New Yorkers by providing meals, shelter, and medical care to those in need.
Katz is honored that it could participate in these volunteer opportunities and put a smile on people's face.
Donating to the American Heart Association for Valentine's Day
On February 14th, employees were able to make a $5 donation and send a special Valentine's Day treat to their co-workers -a chocolate rose. In doing so, Katz was able to donate $525 to The American Heart Association.
It was a fun way to celebrate Valentine's Day at the office and donate to a great cause.

Advice to Management
I applied online. I interviewed at Katz Media Group (New York, NY) in May 2017.
I was contacted the day following my application submission by an internal recruiter. She gave more information about the company, what the role entailed, what the pay was, and asked if I was interested in coming in for an interview. She called back shortly after to confirm my interview which was scheduled 2 days away with the general manager and two sales reps. I met with the general manager first, and then the two sales reps after simultaneously. Over all, the process went by pretty quickly and they were very good on getting back to me in a reasonable time frame.
