Not enough data to show CEO approval

Description RKO Pictures has been through a War of the Worlds. Founded in 1929, the studio produced many classic movies in its heyday, including the Ginger Rogers-Fred Astaire musicals, early Katharine Hepburn films, and Orson Welles' groundbreaking Citizen Kane. (RKO signed a contract with Welles after the success of his War of the Worlds radio show.) However, RKO struggled financially; after numerous mergers and transitions Ted Hartley (CEO) and his wife Dina Merrill (VC) bought the company in 1990. A shadow of its former self, now RKO mainly exploits its extensive library and produces new titles based on its classic films, such as 2009's remake of the RKO1956 film noir classic Beyond a Reasonable Doubt.
