Description Raisio is quite clear on the difference between feed and food. The company makes grain-based foods for people and feed for animals. It also produces malt for beverage makers and starch-based ingredients for food firms. While strong in Finland, Raisio's food business has grown in Russia and Poland, where the firm sells pasta and porridges. Focusing on its food offerings for Western Europe, Raisio acquired UK-based snack and candy maker Glisten for nearly E23 million in 2010, and it purchased cereal and snack producer Big Bear Group (also in the UK) for E95 million in 2011.
