3DSIM is a software company focused on creating the world’s most computationally efficient platform for simulating Additive Manufacturing (AM) processes and material transformations. 3DSIM is developing a set of user-friendly, cloud-delivered tools for solving multi-physics, multi-scale finite element problems. This platform establishes a foundation for quickly and accurately predicting the effects of changes in process parameters and input materials on mechanical properties, residual stress/strain, crystal structure, and other micro & macro features of components made using metal-based AM techniques. 3DSIM’s multi-scale, multiphysics finite element solvers and efficiency modules have been shown to be many orders of magnitude faster than commercially available tools while achieving comparable or better solution accuracy.
