Cattles offers a herd of financial services to the UK's subprime market. Its primary operating unit, Welcome Finance, makes secured and unsecured personal loans ranging from £2,000 to more than £9,000 to borrowers who may have questionable credit or employment histories. Its Shopacheck unit issues smaller short-term loans (around £300) at higher interest rates, collecting weekly payments at the borrowers' homes. Cattles also finances and sells used automobiles (through Welcome Car Finance) and acquires and services consumer debt (The Lewis Group). In the aftermath of the financial crisis, the debt-laden Cattles underwent a restructuring in 2011, through which it was acquired by newly created vehicle Bovess.
