Palma Ceia SemiDesign (PCS) is a fabless semiconductor company offering modem chips, transceivers, systems and IP for emerging Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) Wi-Fi and cellular RF markets.
The IoT market will reach 50 Billion connected devices by 2020, and the communications will be handed using RF radios using sub-gigahertz transmission for longer range and lower power. Both Wi-Fi and Cellular have new standards to serve the many applications of IoT. The radio standards are called HaLow (802.11ah) for WiFi, and LTE Cat NB1 and Cat M for LTE Cellular. PCS provides RF solutions for both standards.
Founded in 2012, PCS has delivered many silicon-proven designs.
