A packed agenda in today's REG (REAL Ethical Group) Meeting: We talked to two CEOs of different charities and are hoping to build lasting partnerships with their respective causes. One is focused on helping child soldiers in Uganda recover and rebuild their life, the other tries to tackle the issue of 1.5 million people worldwide who do not possess any suitable footwear. The REAL Ethical Group is aiming to pledge 50.000£ this year towards multiple different smaller charities. So far this year we have already donated more than 20.000£. Additionally we are excited to review the charities our staff has nominated for support. We are aiming to contact these charities within the next few weeks to be able to build long lasting partnerships and offer services such as "The 100", where we will send our staff out to find 100 long term donors free of charge to the charity. Many smaller charities cannot afford a fundraising team such as ours, so in order to help small but worthy causes grow, we have various initiatives we can offer support through....Show more

Mental health embassedors, Enviourmental embassedors, LGBT embassedors: REAL Fundraising is looking to elect embassedors amongst staff for topic concerning all members of staff. We're in the final stages of electing and launching several initiatives to support our staffs wellbeing, improve our environmental impact and make lgbt+ issues more visible. This week we are kicking things of with a wellbeing challange: For everyone to post a picture of a healthy breakfast. We are also going to introduce rewards and incentives for those amongst our staff who are participating and completing these challange....Show more

Launch of REAL 2.0 In 2020 we are going to continue to strive to become the most ethical business in the UK. As such we have now committed to offsetting our paper use in order to become more environmentally friendly. We are also introducing an environmental week ontop of other initiatives . To appreciate the hard work of our staff we have introduced our famous "Golden Tickets" as an all year round incentive. Every fundraiser who has an outstanding day can earn a ticket and at the end of the quarter a winner is draw. The prices offer a large amount of prestige and reward such as this quarters' draw: A fully paid for trip to Disneyland Paris. In order to reward the activists within our company three people each quarter voted for by their fellow colleagues can go on an educational weekend. These weekends can range from trips to Auschitz to the Red Cross museum in Geneva. These are just a few of the many exciting developments within REAL at the beginning of an incredible 2020! Winter Activism update: Our Leeds Street team has put together an initiative to help homeless people in the are. They have raised 500 pounds via go-fund-me to fill backpacks with life saving materials for homeless people across the city. The aim is to supply 40 people with everything they need to survive during the cold, hard winter night. The Real Ethical Group has decided to support the project matching all donations from staff up to 500£ to increase the amount of people we can support this winter!
