Masternaut (formerly CybIT) provides telematics services that use a GPS and Internet-based mobile communications system called Fleetstar that enables companies to better track and manage vehicle fleets and manage their workforces via the Web and mobile devices. Services include asset tracking, car pool management, satellite navigation, stolen vehicle recovery, and time management of remote workers. The company also offers consulting and support services. Customers have included Fujitsu, Carlsberg, and Volvo. It has subsidiaries in Germany and Sweden. The company took its present form in 2011 when CybIT's owner, investment fund Francisco Partners, bought CybIT's UK rival Masternaut and combined the two businesses.
