Illesteva was founded in 2010 in response to a need for classic eyewear with a downtown New York aesthetic. Since its inception, Illesteva has expanded to accessories including umbrellas, backpacks and handbags. Handcrafted from the highest quality materials, all of Illesteva’s products are manufactured by the world’s leading family-run factories through Italy and France. Illesteva remains focused first and foremost on pushing traditional boundaries of design by exploring fresh shapes and unexpected motifs. A 2012 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Finalist, Illesteva creates timeless pieces meant to inspire capitative and last a lifetime.
A pair of Illesteva frames begins with hand mixed and customized acetate. Because of this, no two pairs are exactly alike. After undergoing an assembly process completed by hand, each pair is then inspected to ensure that its quality meets Illesteva’s standard of excellence.

By collaborating on designs with individuals like iconic Velvet Underground front man Lou Reed and supermodel Jourdan Dunn, we often look to outside inspirations to see how they might view the world through an Illesteva frame.
