As part of Southway's 30th-year celebration, we will be telling our story by sharing our milestone moments. Paul Littmann initially envisioned Southway as a sole proprietorship. However, with early success winning new projects, he quickly decided he needed help. Paul then hired in February of 1993 his very first employee, Willy Moore, who was working out of state for a national contractor performing bridge repairs. Willy is now the current president of Southway! Stay tuned as we further reminisce and share some notable milestones from our journey together. Paul's original business plan was to provide professional construction services to developers leveraging low-income housing tax credits, a program created under the Tax Reform Act of 1986. Live Baltimore fights the persistent and devastating population loss that began in Baltimore City in the 1950s. The decline has destabilized neighborhoods and limited families’ opportunities to flourish in their communities. They work citywide to grow Baltimore’s economy by attracting residents, retaining residents, and supporting healthy housing markets. Each year, Live Baltimore provides thousands of individuals with information on the City’s 250+ neighborhoods, rental living options, homebuying incentive programs, historic tax credits, and more.
