WiebeTech makes external data storage peripherals for use with desktop computers, laptops, and docking stations. The product line works with Apple and Windows-based PCs. WiebeTech's products are carried by a number of US and international distributors, including AM Micro, PC Mall, and SYNNEX. The company was established in 2000 by James Wiebe, who earlier founded Newer Technology, a supplier of computer upgrade equipment. WiebeTech was acquired by data security and mobility specialist CRU-DataPort in 2008.
