DCTR was established in 1980 in Hamilton, Ontario by Herb and Rhoda Singer. Still proudly run by the Singer family, DCTR is the only national car and truck rental company that is owned and operated by Canadians. Our mission has greatly expanded over the years as we offer industry leading car and truck rental services to all types of customers, including: leisure renters, commercial truck renters, dealership service centers, collision repair centers, and more. We continue to reach new markets with the addition of Student CarShare™ - a car sharing program focused on servicing university campuses, and built a strategic alliance in 2013 with one of the world's leading international car rental companies to offer Canadians car rental services in over 130 countries around the world.
