Description Ash Grove Cement is a pioneer in the US cement industry. Tracing its roots back to 1882, the company is one of the largest cement manufacturers in North America. Ash Grove Cement's products include portland and masonry cements used in roads, bridges, and buildings, as well as ready-mix concrete. The company operates nine plants with an annual capacity of some 9 million tons of cement; it also operates aggregate quarries in the US and Canada and a lime plant in Oregon. Other operations include Ash Grove Packaging, which offers packaged materials such as sealers and additives, caulks, and stucco. Lester T. Sunderland joined Ash Grove Cement in 1909; his heirs own the company.
