Description Powered gives more power to its customers' websites. The software company uses social commerce applications to create product-based microsites. Clients such as Hewlett-Packard and NIKE use Powered's applications as a marketing strategy and advertising platform. Its online content offers tutorials, courses, videos, and podcasts, and targeted customers are offered goods and services for purchase in the process. (The idea is that customers feel knowledgeable enough to buy.) Founded in 1999, Powered attracted more than $40 million in private funding before being acquired by Dachus Group, a privately held social business consulting firm backed by Austin Ventures, in 2010.
