Mission Our mission at Hawaiian Bros is to make Hawaii's local plate lunch just as revered and loved on the mainland as it is on the islands, sharing with ‘ohana.
Description Hawaiian Plate Lunch was born in the late 1800s where it originated as a popular lunch time meal for hungry workers on the Island’s sugar and pineapple plantations. Over time it transitioned from being served in bento boxes to being served in compartmentalized plates, and has since been known as “Plate Lunch.” By the mid 1900s, Hawaiian Plate Lunch was a regional favorite and available across the Islands, and now the mainland!
