It also manufactures custom parts. The company serves customers in agriculture, aerospace, shipping, and mining, among other industries. Founded by John A. Herbstritt, as the Chicago Warehouse and Silo Fixture Co., the business adopted its current name in 1926. Chicago Hardware & Fixture, which is still family owned, operates three plants in the Chicago Metropolitan Area and has warehouse stocking facilities in California, Georgia, Illinois, and Texas.
