There are still many bottlenecks when engineers are trying to build truly intelligent, autonomous systems (self-driving cars, for instance). Curious AI will apply unsupervised learning to these bottlenecks. We will be building an artificial brain which takes a lot of inspiration from human brains, but will be adapted to our silicon technology (think of the difference between flapping wings and the solution Wright brothers came up with). We have a long-term plan to build artificial general intelligence and based on the research we've already done, results we already have, we believe we can make a breakthrough.
