With orchards in California, Oregon, and Washington, Naumes is a leading producer of pears. It grows, packs, and ships a number of different varieties including Anjou, Bartlett, and Seckel pears. In addition, the company produces several varieties of apples, along with cherries and such specialty fruit as Asian pears and persimmons. Naumes has centralized packing facilities in California and Oregon and boasts 225,000 sq. ft. of cold storage. The company sold its Washington-based juice concentrates subsidiary to Sun-Rype Products in 2011. The family-owned company was established in 1946, though the Naumes family began growing apples in Oregon in the early 1900s.
