To NCT Group, noise doesn't sound good. The company develops, licenses, and commercializes technologies that reduce noise and enhance sound quality for media, communications, and entertainment. The Artera Group subsidiary offers software for Internet acceleration and network optimization. Other subsidiaries use NCT's active noise reduction technologies to offer such products as NoiseBuster headsets, Gekko flat speakers, and ClearSpeech microphones. More than half of NCT's sales comes from technology licensing fees and royalties. Customers include Sharp (19% of sales), Oki Electric (16%), and NXT (12%). Investor Carole Salkind owns about 95% of NCT.
