Description Morehouse College is the largest private liberal arts college for African-American men. Located three miles from downtown Atlanta, the college has an enrollment of nearly 3,000 students. Facilities include the Leadership Center at Morehouse College, Morehouse Research Institute, and Andrew Young Center for International Affairs. The school has courses of study in business and economics, humanities and social sciences, and science and mathematics. It also offers a degree in engineering in conjunction with Georgia Institute of Technology. Notable alumni include civil rights activist Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., filmmaker Shelton "Spike" Lee, and actor Samuel L. Jackson. Morehouse College was founded in 1867.
