PostRock Energy (formerly Quest Resource) is looking to create a rock solid energy company specializing in oil and gas exploration and production and the transportation of natural gas. Its exploration and drilling efforts are focused in the Cherokee Basin of southeastern Kansas and northeastern Oklahoma, and the Appalachian Basin, where it is accumulating leasehold acreage. PostRock Energy has net proved reserves of 192.2 billion cu. ft. of net proved reserves (the bulk of which is coal bed methane gas) and operates more than 2,200 miles of gas gathering pipeline in Kansas and Oklahoma. It also operates more than 1,100 miles of interstate natural gas transmission pipelines in the region.
