Description Oxford Semiconductor (formerly TransDimension) wants to bus high-tech gear into a new dimension of connectivity. The fabless semiconductor company designs Universal Serial Bus (USB) host controller and peripheral chips, used in computer networks, data storage devices, mobile phones, point-of-sale equipment, and printers. It also offers related intellectual property designs and software. TransDimension was founded in 1997 and acquired in 2005 by Oxford Semiconductor, a UK chip firm that relocated to the States after purchasing the US company. Oxford Semi was established in 1992.
