Kathrein wants to broadcast its message to everyone in the world. KATHREIN-Werke is one of the world's oldest and largest manufacturers of antennas. The company's products are used for such wireless communications as applications satellite, mobile fixed radio, television, telecommunications, and automotive radio. Products are distributed worldwide through area distributors, as well as through catalog and the company's Web site. Anton Kathrein founded the company in 1919 to produce lightning rods, less than five years later turning his focus to antenna technology. Today the company is run by his son of the same name.
