Description Tired of trips to the video store and the inevitable associated late fees? Flexplay Technologies manufactures (through third parties) disposable DVDs, which enable time-limited, on-demand viewing of movies, games, and other content. Flexplay's DVDs are playable for 48 hours after they are removed from the package; after that they become unreadable. The company's DVD's utilize a patented proprietary adhesive that reacts with oxygen and interfere with the DVD laser that reads the disc -- but only after 48 hours. The discs play in all systems designed to accept standard DVDs and can be recycled. The Convex Group bought Flexplay Technologies in 2004.
