Description Mr. Parker has a vision of a successful chip company, it's just taking a while to realize it. ParkerVision has gone through a few incarnations, but since 2006 has been developing radio-frequency integrated circuits (RFICs) for use in wireless networking. The company selected IBM Microelectronics to fabricate prototypes of its RF transceivers and counts ITT and an LG Electronics company as its first customers. Its wireless chips have yet to generate any significant revenue, and the company has an accumulated deficit of about $212 million. Founder, chairman, and CEO Jeffrey Parker owns more than 11% of ParkerVision, while the largest institutional shareholder, Wellington Management, owns 9%.
