Mission To elevate the world of design and shape our environment by celebrating diversity, fostering personal aspirations and talents, and encouraging experimentation, sustainability and innovation.

Description Rice Fergus Miller, Inc is an architectural practice founded in Bremerton in 1987. The firm is led by Principals Greg Belding, Jennifer Fleming, Dean Kelly, and Gunnar Gladics. Principals Steve Rice and Mike Miller retired in 2021, and Dave Fergus will retire in 2022.

For over three decades, we have committed our practice to performing meaningful projects – ones that strengthen community and build a better quality of life. Housed in a reclaimed auto service center that is one of the most energy efficient buildings in the United States, we blend the personal aspirations of our staff members with a vision for a sustainable future.

We work throughout the Pacific Northwest in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska, as well as across the nation on projects that build community and fit our mission and culture. Our primary markets are Fire & Emergency Services, Senior Living & Multifamily Housing, Healthcare, Hospitality, Education, and Community.

We work with many of our region’s Indigenous communities, and acknowledge that our office sits on the ancestral homelands of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the Suquamish and Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribes, who have lived in the Salish Sea basin from time immemorial.

Our team is made up a diverse group of designers, planners, architects, and administrative staff who are passionate about having the ability to balance work with all the other important things in their lives. We support a remote work environment, but invite our staff to work out of our Bremerton, WA-based office and studio space. We make time to collaborate and connect in person as often as we can, and host an annual Day for the Practice where the whole firm comes together to celebrate, collaborate, and hear about what’s in store for the year ahead.

RFM offers a robust benefits package including 99% paid medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, sick leave, four weeks of paid family leave in addition to Washington’s Paid Family & Medical Leave program, a robust Employee Assistance Program, and much more.
