Description D2Audio wants its customers to tap some amps in your own home. D2Audio makes digital amplifier modules for use in audio equipment for the consumer, commercial, professional, and automotive markets. Considered the world's only intelligent digital amplifier, D2Audio's amplifier systems require only a power supply and an audio source, and can optimize the listening experience by taking room design, speaker placement, and audience location into consideration. D2Audio partnered with AMD to create a home theater platform in 2007. The company was founded in 2002 by Rick Knox, Rich Warwick, Mike Rovner, and chief technology officer Dr. Skip Taylor. In 2008 D2Audio was acquired by the semiconductor maker Intersil.
