Description Trengo was officially registered in 2017 by Patrick Meutzner, Marcel van de Weerd, and Igo Trampe. However, the initial idea of Trengo came in 2015, when Patrick and Marcel saw the potential in creating an environment where all customer communication channels (not only email and voice) could be funneled into one inbox. Back then, this wasn’t possible yet. The term ‘omnichannel’ was still relatively unknown.
Today Trengo stands for software in which customer-facing companies can have one clear overview of all old and new communication channels, such as WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, where they can be reached by customers. In addition, Trengo allows an efficient team collaboration who can now work together on answering messages, calls, and emails.
Over the last couple of years, we have launched many new functionalities and added more communication channels, incorporated advanced automation features, chatbots, the possibility to create your own help center, a team chat, and your private inbox. We’re no longer just a dashboard for different channels, we’re an all-in-one inbox for all customer communication.
Our growth does not stop here. We have so much more planned for the next period and to achieve this, we received a 1.75 million investment from Peak Capital at the beginning of 2020. In addition, our team has exponentially grown, from 12 people at the beginning of 2020 to 50 at this moment!
We are constantly in search of new talent to join our team!
