Description Finlay Enterprises is used to getting the most from the leased. Its Finlay Fine Jewelry unit is the top operator of leased jewelry departments in the US, selling moderately priced fine jewelry such as necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, and watches in host department store groups. The company's subsidiaries operate about 675 domestic jewelry departments that are leased from department store retailers, such as Macy's and Dillard's. As the department store industry consolidates, Finlay has looked to other channels, including stand-alone retail stores, to distribute its jewelry. To that end, Finlay acquired the 70-store Bailey Banks & Biddle Fine Jewelry division from Zalefor about $200 million in 2007.
