Hey -- it's the FONS! Fiber Optic Network Solutions (FONS) is a manufacturer of optical components, connectors, and fiber optic cable packaging for data and communications applications. Incorporated in 1992, FONS has branched out from manufacturing optical hardware and connectivity components to include the manufacture of passive optical components. The company also customizes fiber optic packaging to suit the needs of individual customer. FONS customers include Verizon and 21st Century. In 2005 ADC Telecommunications acquired FONS for about $172 million in cash.
