Description It's no stretch of the imagination to say that Stretch squeezes more performance into the semiconductor market. The company develops processor chips that contain programmable logic elements. Customers can program and configure the chips using Stretch's software compilers, which translate widely used programming languages (C and C++) into the technical instructions required by such logic devices. Stretch touts its designs, which are used in electronic gear, such as PCs, wireless phones, and surveillance cameras, as offering high speed video and image processing, "faster than your DSP (digital signal processor)." The company is owned by Menlo Ventures, Oak Investment Partners, and Worldview Technology Partners.
