Wynnstay Group is here to stay for farmers in Wales and the UK. The company supplies feed, seed, and fertilizer to livestock and arable (crop land) farms through its agriculture division. It also operates Wynnstay country stores, selling hardware and animal health products to farmers and rural dwellers, and the Just for Pets retail chain in the West Midlands, catering to pet owners. Wynnstay's roots reach back to 1918, when it was founded as a farmers' co-operative. Today most of its shareholders are local farmers. The company doubled its seed volume by acquiring Woodhead Seeds in 2010. Wynnstay bought grain marketer Wrekin Grain in 2011.
