A provider of post-approval data management software, Outcome Sciences keeps the strings intact for pharmaceutical companies once their drugs have received regulatory approval and gone on to market or Phase IV testing. Outcome provides software that follows the drugs into the medical market where they are prescribed. Its Outcome-branded applications enable Web-based data collection about patients reactions to the drugs, as well as online surveys of medical practitioners and study participants. Biopharmaceutical services company Quintiles bought the company in 2011.
