The company publishes the New International Version of the Bible (NIV), with more than 400 million copies distributed worldwide since its first publication in 1978. Zondervan also has units devoted to children's products (Zonderkidz), Spanish publishing (Editorial Vida), curricula, and new media offerings (e-books and software). In addition to its corporate headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Zondervan has offices in San Diego and Miami. The company was founded in 1931 by brothers P.J. (Pat) and Bernie Zondervan. Parent company HarperCollins purchased Zondervan in 1978.
