Description UT Health San Antonio™, one of the country’s leading health sciences universities, is the leader in south/central Texas funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The university’s schools of medicine, nursing, dentistry, health professions and graduate biomedical sciences have produced more than 41,000 alumni. The university supports four campuses in San Antonio and Laredo and is the primary driver of its community’s $44.1 billion biomedical and health care industry. Additionally, the health science center provides a vast amount of continuing medical and dental education, affords 2.6 million patient visits each year and offers more than $633 million in uncompensated care to the medically indigent.

We serve patients in San Antonio and South Texas. Our health care professionals serve in more than 100 affiliated hospitals, clinics and health care facilities across San Antonio, Laredo and the Rio Grande Valley. More than 3,500 students, researchers and post-doctoral students from around the world come to the UT Health San Antonio to study, research and discover new breakthroughs.
