Description With the prices of some goods the way they are in Japan, a line of credit can come in handy. APLUS offers a range of consumer and commercial financing products and services, including credit cards, consumer loans, installment credit, and leasing services, to individuals as well as small and medium-sized buinesses. The company has more than 4 million credit card customers. Shinsei Bank acquired a majority stake in APLUS in 2004; the move diversified the parent company's activities, which had been focused on providing institutional and retail banking services. APLUS was established in 1956 as Osaka Credit Sales, and later changed it name to Daishinpan, and then to APLUS in 1992.
