Even those outside California know Vision-Sciences' products are totally tubular. The firm makes endoscopic tools -- tubular instruments that let doctors see into the body and perform procedures without invasive surgery. It makes traditional endoscopes and the EndoSheath System, which consists of a disposable sterile sheath covering the reusable endoscope. The system allows health care providers to save money by avoiding costly cleaning and repairs and reduces the risk of cross-contamination. Subsidiary Machida makes flexible borescopes, endoscope-like tools used in industrial applications. The company is led by interim CEO Warren Bielke.
