Pasabi's Head of Content, Jen McKeeman, attended the Trust & Safety Professional Association (TSPA) summit! We caught up with Jen: "It was smoothly run with excellent sessions on a variety of interesting topics. It was great to connect and chat with like-minded people who care about trust & safety so much. It’s encouraging to hear how AI can positively bolster human moderation, helping moderators focus their time where their expertise and understanding is most needed - particularly to understand the nuances of context, and provide good judgement. It is striking the importance of supporting T&S teams’ mental health given the vital role they play in moderating UGC and protecting users from harmful content. From catfishing to counterfeits, and fake profiles to online scams, the need for collaboration at both a national and international level to detect threat actors is vital. If neglected, it can lead to erosion of user trust, possible safety risks for users and potential lawsuits for platforms. Lastly, I heard about Deepfake Detection & AI Content Moderation. With the cost of creating a deepfake using cheap open source repositories as low as $0.05, deepfakes are on the rise. And when 70% of humans are unable to distinguish deepfakes from humans, they are increasingly being used as ways to defraud businesses. Overall, a very informative summit and I would really encourage T&S practitioners to attend future TSPA events!"...Show more
