The good news about our world today—as beset with challenges as we are—is that there have never been more resources focused on making it better. We’re seeing an outpouring of funding and efforts by individual philanthropists, foundations, nonprofits, NGOs and governments around the world. Everyone involved in this great human endeavor wishes we knew more. We know funding is only part of what we need to make a bigger difference. We also need fresher, more integrated views of status and trends for our target populations and issues. We need greater visibility into who’s doing what across social sector ecosystems, how much impact we’re having, and how to increase impact. We need ways to share what’s working and spark innovation and collaboration.
