Our Mission is to enhance our Members' lives and improve our communities by providing a wide variety of financial tools and solutions while ensuring the financial sustainability of the cooperative membership.
In 1949, United Federal Credit Union was founded by five employees at the Whirlpool manufacturing plant in St. Joseph, MI. A part-time volunteer staff ran the credit union from a cash box in the personnel office. From those humble beginnings, the credit union has grown to nearly 40 branches in seven states, $4 billion in assets, and over 194,000 Members. Our corporate offices and main branch are in St. Joseph, Mich., with additional branches in Arkansas, Indiana, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
