One of the world's top makers of portable sound gear, Peavey Electronics makes amplifiers, complete sound systems, microphones, mixers, and recording equipment. It also produces guitars and basses. The company's sound systems are used in more than a quarter of North America's NFL stadiums and in venues from New York's Apollo Theater to the Sydney Opera House. Products are distributed through music stores in the US and Canada and exported to more than 130 countries. Peavey, founded in 1965, is owned and managed by Mississippi Music Hall of Famer Hartley Peavey.
