      A late-stage startup becoming a big company

      Pros

      * Lots of smart, fun, capable people * Great dogs * Transparent culture, founded on real respect * A real business * Awesome office with tons of food and fun

      Cons

      * Tech senior leadership has gone downhill * Way too many product managers * Very slow moving * Very late stage, so few opportunities for real innovation or advancement * Increasingly hierarchical * Tons of process * Developers do tons of operations work * Parts of the tech stack are just nasty and old

      A solid startup with good culture

      Pros

      -Everyone is very inclusive and nice, it's a very close community which is really nice. -The company has seen a great deal of success and is constantly building their partnerships -Very relaxed atmosphere where you can pretty much do whatever you'd like as long as you get your work done -They are very good to their employees and offer up plenty of great perks for a startup

      Cons

      -Due to the very startupy nature, a lot of the roles and the company itself aren't very structured -Feedback culture can often be passive aggressive and not entirely constructive -While the company has a great product and wishes to expand out of the travel space, the tech industry grows fast and they are really quite pigeonholed into the travel space -Very little room for real growth (outside of title and pay bumps)

      Pros

      1. A transparent executive team with very few surprises. 2. There was never any shortage of things to take on if you were excelling in your current role 3. Very cross-functional for anyone looking to understand how different business units work 4. Only a few egos to deal with – much less than I've experienced at similar sized companies 5. I genuinely trusted the vast majority of people I worked with 6. ...and of course, the beautiful office in SoHo and dogs!

      Cons

      1. Too many meetings (although this is something they've worked on) 2. Intent Media serves the Travel vertical only, which had become more saturated during my tenure 3. It became more challenging to deliver a differentiated product to partners
