I have been working at ASRC Aerospace (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The management was very good to me, except for the local Program Manager, who was an ex-NASA executive. i earned the respect of the company execs because I played a major role in winning the $600 million contract.

    Cons

Very little cons, except problems with some of the NASA managers.

    Advice to Management

You abandoned me after the contract was completed. I made you millionaires, and you dumped me like garbage.

I worked at ASRC Aerospace full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I'll forever wish I could work for ASRC again. It was hands-down the best company I ever worked for. They were very employee-centered. Had great salaries and benefits and truly cared about employees, knowing the strength of a contract was in the employees who did the work. You felt like you were an important part of the entire company, rather than just another employee number.

    Cons

    I can't think of a single one.

    Advice to Management

I wish they would have had a stronger proposal department so I could have stayed working for them.

I worked at ASRC Aerospace (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company was very employee-centric. Benefits were good. Engineering division was smart to put older experienced engineers with younger hot-shot engineers who had advanced computing skills.

    Cons

KSC offices and ASRC HQ were as far away from each other as you could get and still be in the country. The time difference was an issue when dealing with corporate benefits issues. But aside from the time difference, it was still better dealing with ASRC admins than many of the other companies I've worked with (Lockheed, GD, etc).

    Advice to Management

    Have a backup plan.

    Pros

Diverse workforce with a respectable percentage of females and minorities, flexible work hours great for employees with families, management encouraged new ideas and education

    Cons

There was the usual workplace favoritism. Some positions in operations were poorly defined, leading personnel to be under utilized and ultimately replaceable.
