I worked at Aernnova full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The management and team were all wonderful. It was a small, tight-knit group where you got to know and work with everyone. I really enjoyed my time there and miss it.

    Cons

They did not win enough contracts and closed the US office I worked at in Ann Arbor, MI.

Upper management was based out of Spain and had a really hard time accepting what competitive pay and benefits in the US looked like. It was like pulling teeth every time annual raises came around and was the worst when negotiating initial salary.

    Advice to Management

Familiarize yourselves with the American job market better. Our area of engineering is not dealing with high levels of unemployment.

I have been working at Aernnova full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of opportunity to travel around the world on a number of different projects.

    Cons

Salaries and benefits are on the low side of competitive for the aerospace industry.
Strict rules controlling internet access prevent employees from finding resources to do the job better.
Cultural differences between Spain (location for upper management and all support staff, IT, HR, etc) and U.S. are very evident and create significant waste.

    Advice to Management

Employees are not your enemy and managers are not saviors. Empowered employees can find and eliminate a significant amount of waste in your organisation.

I have been working at Aernnova full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great people, opportunities to work on major aircraft projects, competitive salary and good working conditions. Overall a great place to work.

    Cons

Instability, which is due mostly to the instability of the industry itself. Need to travel since projects typically require working onsite at the customer for a certain time.

    Pros

Steadily growing number of customers and involvement in a wide array of aircraft programs, solid foundations for a bright future. The company is relatively young so there is a lot of work to do in all areas to consolidate business.

    Cons

I actually cannnot think of serious cons or challenges, it is indeed an interesting company headquartered in an interesting and hospitable part of the country. Besides, the company footprint covers other parts of the globe like Brasil, USA, Mexico, India... which means there are opportunities multinationally
