Moral bad, Management uncommunicative. Employees are pawns.

Pros

Benefits are good. Other employees and workers are great. Might be good to start you career here but do not over stay.

Cons

No advancement. Salaries have been frozen since 2016 with no change for another year. Morale has been low for years. Management has no vision. Company does not value employees even though they say otherwise. Manipulative middle managers. Absentee executives and managers. Aggressive HR and managers will make you life hell if they decide they do not like you. Could not give less than one star.

Pros

The location in south Edmonton is convenient to get to and the surrounding grounds are nice. Not much else! The work is easy

Cons

It all starts with leadership... and oh boy, the leadership from the CEO (in a government org?) along with the entire leadership team are truly incompetent. From my experience they are only looking out for themselves and how much they can get from the government trough. In the merger of the prior 'Alberta Innovates' corporations (e.g. AI Tech Futures, AI Health, etc.) into a single government organization it took them way too long (i.e. years) with very little to show for it; no systems, no processes, etc. But they did come up with a logo!! Plenty of petty in-fighting between the organizations' leaders. Plenty of nepotism in hires and contractors/consultants. The wages appear to be based on arbitrary decisions and not on capacity or results. The benefits are OK, but be mindful of what you are actually be offered and seek consistency with your peers. HR are not very resourceful. Too many government of Alberta employees in organization; and therefore, no concept of a for profit organization. The organization lacks clear direction. Best thing for the place and the tax payers in Alberta would be to kill the beast.
