I have been working at Alltech part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great industry and growing company.

    Cons

Hours are scheduled based mainly around
events. This meanshould that in the winter, hours tend to drop off due to the lack of events.

I worked at Alltech full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Work vehicle and flexible schedule.

    Cons

Huge gender bias and history of sexual harassment. The culture was very superfacial with little depth in actual talent or products.

    Advice to Management

Focus on improving services and products rather than maintaining a superficial image.

    I worked at Alltech full-time

    Pros

There are some good people that work there.

    Cons

The company is mis-leading and very different behind the scene than on the surface. Operates like a cult. Potential employees beware of what you're getting into, and my advice is run the other way. Their mode of operation is to under pay employees and to prevent them from increasing their skills.

    Advice to Management

Stop participating in the cult activities. Stop being so fake.

I have been working at Alltech (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Heat breaks
    Protective wear
     Steel toe boots
Get to take a shower to get stench off you
    Give you uniform for work

    Cons

Heat break if the temperature over 90
Not to have liquid on the floor
    Real dirty place
Don't smell to good after you work with product
    Low wages

    Advice to Management

I know that the owner doesn't know what is going on in his company but it not the best place to work but maybe he doesn't care because the company have a bad turn over but it wouldn't be so bad if they would take the time to look at the work conditions but obviously they did not care about the lowest man on the totem pole .

    I worked at Alltech full-time

    Pros

Mmmm, the only thing would be the décor. This company is only about image and the headquarters location does not disappoint. Beautiful conference rooms and lobby. Excellent marketing dept, which is the only reason they are successful.

    Cons

No substance. Image is more important than employees. Eccentric owner, run like a mom and pop shop. IT dept is extremely poorly managed, CIO that's afraid to make decisions or changes. Very political. The only promotions are if you have connections or know the right people. They intentionally only hire and pay below market value. Benefits are also below market norms, 3 sick days per year, ridiculous! They do not promote learning because they don't want you to be attractive to other employers. Beware - they are "buddies" with other businesses in the area and they will know if you apply for a job somewhere else (I saw it happen multiple times). High turnover. No flexibility. Salaried employees punch a time clock. Employees have to walk a very long distance up a hill to get to the parking lot in all kinds of weather, simply because a parking lot near the building would not look attractive. Speaking of image, everyone is expected to wear a corp. suit every day of the year. Absolutely everything is about looking good, not about having or keeping happy employees. It was the most bizarre company I've ever worked for. First interview was just to see how well I'd fit into the "company culture". I should have seen the Red Flag waiving. The place is very much like a cult.

    Advice to Management

Convert the egotistical mentality that image is the most important thing. It is superficial and everyone sees through it. Look at making improvements for the employees.

    Pros

The parties were pretty legendary and TPL brings in some great speakers.

    Cons

Favoritism and misogyny is rampant. No room for growth. Pays poorly. Ineffective and disengaged management. Tons of turnaround. Coworkers constantly throwing you under the bus.

    Advice to Management

Build teams based off peoples strengths. Focus on competing against the competition not each other.
