      Committed environmental coworkers. Enthusiasm for the work.

      Cons

      Mismanaged fundraising. Unprofessional experience with a couple of higher ranking staff. Waste of what could have been a learning experience due to managers leaving and messy transition.

      Amazing work culture and interesting work. The people are what make American Rivers great - they are passionate about rivers, smart, and know how to have fun.

      The pay for mid level staff is lower than other similar organizations. Programs could use more support from foundations and development teams.
